A scheduled report re-runs a saved report view for a relative date range ("yesterday", "last month"…) and e-mails the result as a CSV attachment. Use it for daily performance mails to your team, weekly partner summaries for account managers or monthly numbers for finance.

Before you start#

  • Save the view first: in Reporting → Reports build it and choose Save current view…. You can schedule your own saved views and views shared with the team.
  • Outgoing e-mail (SMTP) must be configured on the platform. Without it runs are logged as not_sent.
  • You need a manager role or higher.

Create a schedule#

  1. Open Reporting → Automation → Scheduled reports (/app/automation/schedules).

  2. Click Schedule a report.

  3. Fill in Schedule a report:

    FieldOptions
Saved reportOne of your saved views or a shared one.
    FrequencyDaily, Weekly or Monthly.
    OnWeekday, for weekly schedules.
Day of month1–28, for monthly schedules.
    Hour0–23 (default 8).
Time zoneAny IANA time zone, e.g. Europe/Berlin. The hour and the date range use it.
Date range of each runSee below.
Recipients1–25 e-mail addresses, separated by commas, semicolons or spaces.
  4. Save. The schedule appears with its Next run.

Date range of each run#

OptionCovers
Previous period (yesterday / last week / last month) (default)Daily: yesterday. Weekly: the 7 days before the run day. Monthly: the previous calendar month.
YesterdayThe day before the run.
Last 7 days (incl. today)The run day and the 6 days before it.
Last 30 days (incl. today)The run day and the 29 days before it.
This month to dateFrom the 1st to the run day.
Last monthThe previous calendar month.

"Incl. today" ranges include the part of the run day up to the run hour.

What recipients receive#

  • Subject: <saved view name> · <date span>
  • Body: the number of rows, e.g. "1,234 rows attached as CSV", plus a note when truncated ("first 50,000 of …").
  • Attachment: <name>_<from>_<to>.csv — the same columns as the view's CSV export.

The view runs with its grouping, filters, metric filters, metrics, custom metrics, currency and sort at network level (the full staff view of the data), regardless of who created it. Each e-mail contains at most 50,000 rows.

Manage schedules#

The list shows Saved report, When, Recipients, Next run, Last run (with its status and, on hover, the error) and Status (Active / Paused). Row menu:

  • Send now — runs it immediately for its date range without moving the next scheduled run.
  • Edit, Pause / Resume, Delete.

Run statuses#

StatusMeaning
sentE-mail accepted by the mail server.
not_sentNot sent: e-mail is not configured, the mail server refused it, or the workspace is not active.
failedThe run failed, e.g. "The saved report no longer exists." or "The saved report configuration is invalid."

Every run is logged with its date range, recipients, row count and whether it was manual.

How timing works#

The worker ticks the panel every minute. A schedule whose next run time has passed is claimed once (two ticks never send it twice), run and moved to its next slot. If the platform was down at the scheduled hour, the run happens at the next tick after it comes back.
