Offer access and approvals

Control which partners can run each offer with visibility, access requests, application questions, restrictions and per-partner decisions.

Whether a partner can generate links for an offer and earn on it depends on two things: the offer's visibility and the partner's access row for that offer (if any). Only active partners can run offers.

Visibility#

Set it under Visibility when you create the offer, later with Edit details on the offer page (sheet Edit offer details), or for many offers at once with the Require approval bulk action on the offers list.

VisibilityIn the partner MarketplaceWho can run it
PublicYesEvery active partner, without asking — unless their access row is blocked.
Requires approvalYes, with Request accessPartners with an approved access row.
PrivateNoOnly partners you approve; they see it only after approval.

Access rows and their statuses#

An access row links one partner to one offer:

StatusMeaning
approvedThe partner can see and run the offer. On a public offer an approved row also lists it under My offers.
pendingA request waiting for a decision. The partner cannot run the offer yet.
rejectedRequest declined. The partner may send a new request.
blockedThe partner cannot run or request the offer, whatever its visibility. Their links fall back.

Removing a row (Remove rows / Remove access row, or Reset to offer default) deletes it with its partner-level caps; the offer's visibility decides again.

How partners request access#

  1. In Offers → Marketplace the partner opens an offer marked Requires approval and clicks Request access.
  2. They answer your application questions (if any) and may add a Message (up to 1,000 characters).
  3. If the offer has restrictions, they must tick I accept these restrictions. The acceptance is logged with a version derived from the restrictions text, so a later edit counts as a new version.
  4. The request becomes a pending row. The partner sees "Your access request is being reviewed" on the offer page.

Partners cannot request private offers, public offers (they already have access), offers they are blocked from, or offers with a pending request.

Application questions#

On the offer, open the Affiliates tab → Application questions. Questions work like the sign-up questions (Short answer, Long answer, Drop-down, Checkbox (yes / no), required or optional, up to 20). They are only asked while the offer's visibility is Requires approval. Click Save questions.

Decide requests#

You can decide in three places; partners are notified in their portal either way.

Partners → Applications → Offer access requests lists every pending request across offers with Offer, Affiliate, Partner status, Partner's message, Answers and Requested. Select rows and choose Approve or Reject… (with a reason); the row menu also offers Block.

Offer → Affiliates tab shows every access row of the offer with Access, Can run, Affiliate caps, Custom payout, Note / message, Requested and Decided. Bulk actions: Approve, Reject, Block, Remove rows. The row menu adds Caps… (partner-level caps) and Custom payout… (opens the Overrides tab for that partner).

Affiliate → Offers & access tab shows the same from the partner's side, filterable by All offers, Can run, Pending, Approved, Rejected / blocked and No decision, with Grant access to offers (approves the partner on the chosen offers, including pending requests), Reset to offer default and Partner caps….

Add partners to an offer yourself#

On the offer's Affiliates tab click Add affiliates, pick the partners, choose Access — Approved, Pending (decide later) or Blocked — and an optional Note to the affiliate (shown in their approval notification).

Offer terms with forced acceptance#

On the offer's Advanced tab, section Terms & conditions:

  1. Write Offer terms (Markdown).
  2. Switch on Require acceptance.
  3. To make every partner accept again after a change, tick Ask every partner to accept again (new version).

Partners see an Offer terms card with Acceptance required on the offer page. Until they accept, their tracking links for the offer go to the not-approved fallback ("Your tracking links for this offer send visitors to the fallback page until you accept these terms."). Transparent url= links are never affected. Each acceptance is logged; the section header shows the version and how many partners accepted it.

Default offers for new partners#

Offers listed under Partner program → Sign-up form → Default offers are approved automatically for partners that are approved automatically. See Partner sign-up and applications.
