This page is the notice of Web Cue LLC (“TrackCrown”) to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), and explains the privacy choices available to residents of California and of other US states with comparable laws. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes our practices in full.
1. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information#
Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing you need to opt out of. You may still send us an opt-out request using the form on this page; we will record it and apply it if our practices ever change. We will update this notice before any such change.
2. Global Privacy Control#
We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for the browser or device that sends it, without asking you for anything else. Because we do not sell or share personal information, honouring the signal does not change how our website or tracking links work.
3. Our role#
Most personal information we process comes from tracking links that we operate for our customers. For that information we act as a service provider to the business that runs the campaign, and that business decides how the information is used. We pass requests about it to that business and help it respond. For account, website and contact-form information we are the business responsible for it.
4. Personal information we collect#
In the preceding 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information. We retain each category for the periods in section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
We do not collect biometric information, health information, precise geolocation or government identification numbers, and we do not create profiles or draw inferences about individuals. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes the CCPA permits without offering a right to limit, so we do not offer that right.
5. Your rights#
If you are a California resident you have the right to:
- know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, its sources, the purposes for which we use it and the categories of recipients;
- delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do neither);
- not be discriminated against or retaliated against for exercising these rights.
Residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws — for example Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas and Virginia — have similar rights to the extent those laws apply to us, including the right to obtain a portable copy of their data and to appeal our decision on a request.
6. How to make a request#
Use the request form on this page, or contact us using privacy@trackcrown.com. Tell us which right you want to exercise and your state of residence. Tracking records are not linked to names, so to help us find them please include, as far as you can: the full link you clicked or the click ID, the approximate date and time with your time zone, the public IP address you were using, and the browser and device.
Verification. We verify requests before acting on them. For account holders we confirm the request from the e-mail address on the account. For tracking data we match details about the click that only the person who made it is likely to know. If we cannot verify a request to know specific pieces of information to the degree the law requires, we may treat it as a request to know the categories of information and will explain why.
Authorised agents. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf. We will ask for your signed permission and may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney.
Timing. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time — up to a further 45 days — we will tell you why.
Appeals. If you live in a state that gives you a right to appeal and we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will answer within the period your state's law requires; if you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
7. Other notices#
- Shine the Light. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
- Financial incentives. We do not offer financial incentives or price differences in exchange for personal information.
- Minors. The Service is not directed at children, and we do not sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
- Records. We keep records of privacy requests and our responses for 24 months.
