1. What to report#
Report any link on a TrackCrown tracking domain that leads to harmful or deceptive content, and any use of our tracking domains that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy, for example:
Phishing
Pages that imitate a bank, shop, government service or login screen to collect passwords or payment details.
Malware
Downloads, browser extensions or pages that install unwanted or malicious software.
Scams and deceptive offers
Fake prizes, fake technical support, hidden subscriptions and other offers designed to mislead.
Illegal products
Counterfeit goods, illegal drugs, unlicensed gambling or medicines sold without the required authorisation.
Cloaking and deceptive redirects
A link that shows different content to different people, or that does not lead where its url parameter says.
Spam
Unsolicited e-mail, text messages or comment spam that contain links on one of our tracking domains.
2. What to include#
- The full link. Right-click the link or ad and choose “Copy link address”, then paste it unchanged — including everything after the question mark.
- When you clicked it — the date and time, with your time zone.
- Where you found it — the website, app or search results showing the ad, or the sender and date of the message that contained the link.
- What happened — the address of the page you reached and what it showed or asked you to do. If you have a screenshot, mention it and we will ask you to send it by e-mail.
- How to reach you — an e-mail address, so that we can ask questions and tell you the outcome.
Please do not open a suspicious link again to collect these details, and never send us passwords, payment details or malware files.
3. Check who operates a link#
Every tracking domain we operate explains itself: open its home page — for example https://trackcrown.com/ — to see the company that operates it and links to its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Links built for Google Ads and other transparent tracking show their destination in a visible url parameter, such as https://trackcrown.com/c/…?url=https%3A%2F%2Fshop.example%2F. Our server redirects to exactly that address in one step, or shows an error page — so the url value tells you where the link leads.
4. What happens after you report#
Triage
We confirm that the link is on a tracking domain we operate and identify the customer account it belongs to. The link itself tells us which account and campaign it serves.
Investigation
We check the destination, the account's approved destinations and settings, and the recent click records for the link.
Action
Where the report is confirmed, we remove the destination from the account's approved destinations so the link shows an error page, disable the link, offer or tracking domain, or suspend the account, and we notify the customer. We keep the evidence, and we inform the affected advertising platform or the authorities where the law requires it or we consider it appropriate.
Follow-up
We tell you when we have acted on your report. We may not be able to share details about a customer's account.
Disabling a link never redirects anyone to a different destination: people who open it see an error page instead.
5. Response times#
We aim to review reports of active phishing, malware or other ongoing harm within one business day, and other reports within five business days. These are targets rather than guarantees: complex cases, or reports without the full link, can take longer. Reports that do not concern a link or domain we operate are answered with a pointer to the right place where we can identify it.
6. How we use your report#
We use the details you send only to investigate and respond to your report, as described in our Privacy Policy, and we keep reports for 24 months after we have handled them. We do not give your name or e-mail address to the customer concerned unless you agree or the law requires it.
7. Other kinds of requests#
- A security vulnerability in our platform: follow the steps on our Security page.
- Data recorded about your click: use the request form on Your Privacy Choices.
- A product or order you paid for: contact the business that sold it; we do not sell products or handle orders.
- The ad itself: also report it to the platform where you saw it — search engines, social networks and ad networks all accept reports about ads.
