TrackCrown is a performance-marketing tracking platform operated by Web Cue LLC. It records clicks and impressions on your own tracking domains, attributes conversions to the partner that sent the traffic, calculates revenue and payout, notifies partners and ad platforms, and bills both sides. It is built for affiliate networks, advertisers that run their own partner program, agencies and media buyers who send Google Ads traffic.
The parts of the platform#
A workspace is one network's account. Offers, advertisers, affiliates, smart links, domains, reports, billing and settings all belong to a workspace. One login can be a member of several workspaces.
How a click becomes a paid conversion#
- A partner sends a visitor to a tracking link, for example
https://trackcrown.com/r/OFFERCODE/PARTNERCODE?.sub1=campaign-a - The tracking server checks the offer, the partner's access, targeting and caps, assigns a click ID
(32 lowercase hex characters) and answers with a single
302redirect to the offer's destination URL, with macros such as{click_id}filled in. - The advertiser stores the click ID and, when the visitor converts, calls the postback URL
https://trackcrown.com/pb?(or fires a pixel).click_id=… &token=… - The conversion engine finds the click, checks the attribution window, resolves the event, revenue and payout, removes duplicates, applies conversion caps and rules, and stores the conversion as approved, pending or rejected.
- Approved conversions fire the partner's postbacks and any conversion APIs (Meta, TikTok, Microsoft, Google Ads).
- Reports update immediately; invoices (advertiser side) and payouts (partner side) are built from the stored money.
The redirect never waits for logging: clicks are written asynchronously, so a slow database cannot delay visitors.
Link types at a glance#
What stays the same for every visitor#
- Tracking requests need no cookies. A first-party cookie (
atk_cid) is set only if you switch on the pixel cookie in Workspace settings. - Bots, crawlers and humans get the same redirect. Fraud signals (bot, datacenter, proxy, headless, rate limit…) are recorded on the click for reports; they never change where the visitor goes.
- Transparent links (
url=) always redirect to exactly theurl=value or show an error page. Offer status, caps, targeting and traffic controls are only recorded on those clicks. This is what Google requires from a certified click tracker; see Transparency.
Data retention#
Click logs are kept for 13 months, inbound postback logs for 90 days. Times are stored in UTC and shown in the workspace time zone, which also defines report days and daily, weekly and monthly caps. Each user can set a personal Display time zone on their profile; the panel then shows dates and report days in that zone (caps and billing stay on the workspace zone).
