Quickstart for advertisers

Run your own affiliate or partner program — your offers, your site, your partners — and track sales from your checkout.

This guide is for brands that recruit and pay their own partners (affiliates, creators, coupon sites). You are the network and the advertiser at the same time, so you can skip the advertiser record: an offer without an advertiser uses your workspace postback token.

1. Create the workspace and set basics#

  1. Sign up at https://app.trackcrown.com/signup (Company, Your name, Work e-mail, Password).
  2. In Settings → Workspace, set Time zone, Currency and, under Tracking, add your shop's hostname to Allowed destination domains (for example shop.example.com). See Workspace settings.
  3. Optional: add your own tracking hostname (for example go.example.com) under Tracking → Tracking domains. A subdomain of your own site looks more trustworthy to shoppers. See Tracking domains.

2. Create the offer#

  1. Offers → Offers → New offer. Leave Advertiser empty.
  2. Destination URL: your landing page with the click ID, for example:
URL
https://shop.example.com/?atk={click_id}&partner={aff_id}
  1. Conversion tracking: Server postback or pixel (default), Server postback only or Pixel only.
  2. Revenue & payout: for a percentage commission choose Payout type "Cost per sale (CPS, %)" and enter the percent; revenue can stay at 0 if you do not invoice anyone. See Revenue & payout types.
  3. Visibility: Requires approval is the usual choice for a partner program.

3. Report sales from your site#

Pick one method; all three need the click ID that arrived on the landing page.

MethodHowWhen to use
Server postbackYour backend calls https://trackcrown.com/pb?click_id=…&amount=…&txid=…&token=…Most reliable; works with ad blockers
Thank-you page pixel<img src="https://trackcrown.com/px?offer_id=OFFERCODE&amount=ORDER_TOTAL&txid=ORDER_ID">No backend access
Landing-page SDKsdk.js stores the click ID in first-party storage and reports itSingle-page shops, organic traffic, Google Ads parallel tracking

The exact snippets for your offer are on the offer's Tracking tab under Advertiser conversion tracking (image, iframe and JavaScript pixels per event). The workspace token is under Settings → Postback tokens.

URL
https://trackcrown.com/pb?click_id=0192a6c3f1e04b7e9c2d8a1f3b5c7d9e&amount=89.90&txid=ORDER-1042&token=WORKSPACE_TOKEN

Pixels without a click_id parameter can only be attributed when First-party pixel cookie is on in workspace settings (cookie atk_cid on the tracking domain). Details: S2S postback, Pixels and Landing-page SDK.

4. Open your partner program#

  1. Partners → Partner program, tab Sign-up form: copy the Partner sign-up page link (https://app.trackcrown.com/join/<Workspace ID>), add Custom questions, and choose Require e-mail verification, Approve new partners automatically and CAPTCHA on the application form.
  2. Tab Terms: publish your network terms; partners accept them at sign-up and again after each new version.
  3. Tab Traffic sources: create link templates per ad network so partners get the right macros (Sub IDs & parameters).
  4. New applications appear under Partners → Applications (Partner sign-up). Approve partners there, then approve them on the offer's Affiliates tab (or set the offer to Public).

5. Creators and coupon codes#

For influencers who share a code instead of a link, create codes under Partners → Coupons (New coupon: Code, Partner, optional Offer, Valid from, Valid until). Your postback then sends coupon_code=SPRING10 and the sale is credited to that partner even without a click. See Coupons.

6. Give partners creatives#

On the offer's Creatives tab, add banners, text ads or email templates. Write {tracking_link} where the partner's link goes; each partner sees their own link filled in. See Creatives.

7. Test end to end#

  1. Approve a test partner, copy their link from the offer's Tracking tab and open it.
  2. Place a test order (or call the postback with &test=1 first).
  3. Check Reporting → Conversions, then the partner's view in the portal.
