Every campaign type uses the same transparent /c/ link, but not every ValueTrack tag is filled for every type, and
some types need a different {lpurl} form. Pick the type under Campaign type in the
tracking template builder; the preset switches on the right
parameters and marks the ones the type leaves empty with Not populated for this campaign type.
Search / Display#
The full set, with url={lpurl} last:
https://trackcrown.com/c/KEY? gclid={gclid} &campaignid={campaignid} &adgroupid={adgroupid} &creative={creative} &keyword={keyword} &matchtype={matchtype} &network={network} &device={device} &force_transparent=true &url={lpurl}For Display traffic also tick placement={placement} (the site or app) and target={target} (placement category).
{keyword} is the matching keyword on Search and the best-matching keyword on Display.
Shopping#
Merchant Center product URLs often carry their own query string. The preset therefore ends the template with
url={unescapedlpurl} — which must stay the last parameter — and adds product parameters:
https://trackcrown.com/c/KEY? gclid={gclid} &campaignid={campaignid} &adgroupid={adgroupid} &network={network} &device={device} &pid={product_id} &mid={merchant_id} &ch={product_channel} &force_transparent=true &url={unescapedlpurl}pid, mid and ch are stored as extra click parameters (filter them in the click log). To fill the Product
ID and Merchant Center ID report dimensions instead, name them product_id={product_id} and
merchant_id={merchant_id} (both are in the parameter list). {keyword} and {matchtype} stay empty.
Performance Max#
Asset groups replace ad groups, and there are no keywords:
https://trackcrown.com/c/KEY? gclid={gclid} &campaignid={campaignid} &network={network} &device={device} &assetgroupid={assetgroupid} &force_transparent=true &url={lpurl}{network} is x for cross-network traffic. Final URL expansion can send a click to any page of your domain:
allow the whole domain (*.example.com), not single pages. Not filled: keyword, matchtype, adgroupid, creative,
placement, targetid.
Dynamic Search Ads and AI Max#
Google picks the landing page from your site, and the "keyword" is a dynamic target. Pass {targetid} (for example
dsa-123456); TrackCrown splits it into its parts (see ValueTrack reference):
https://trackcrown.com/c/KEY? gclid={gclid} &campaignid={campaignid} &adgroupid={adgroupid} &network={network} &device={device} &targetid={targetid} &force_transparent=true &url={lpurl}Any page of the same domain can become the final URL — allow the domain.
Demand Gen#
ID parameters only. Demand Gen does not fill {placement}, {target}, {keyword}, {matchtype},
{network}, {targetid}, {ifsearch} or {ifcontent}:
https://trackcrown.com/c/KEY? gclid={gclid} &campaignid={campaignid} &adgroupid={adgroupid} &creative={creative} &device={device} &force_transparent=true &url={lpurl}Hotel#
Keep the template short — Hotel Center adds its own landing-page parameters. The preset also puts
adgroupid={adgroupid} in the Final URL suffix:
https://trackcrown.com/c/KEY? gclid={gclid} &campaignid={campaignid} &adgroupid={adgroupid} &device={device} &force_transparent=true &url={lpurl}Not filled: keyword, matchtype, placement.
Video (YouTube)#
https://trackcrown.com/c/KEY? gclid={gclid} &campaignid={campaignid} &adgroupid={adgroupid} &creative={creative} &device={device} &placement={placement} &src={sourceid} &force_transparent=true &url={lpurl}Masthead reservations accept a tracking template at ad level only. Not filled: keyword, matchtype.
App campaigns#
App campaigns do not use tracking templates; the builder shows App campaigns do not use tracking templates and produces no template. Measure installs and in-app events with an App Attribution Partner (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Singular, Kochava) directly in Google Ads: TrackCrown records no click for these ads, so it cannot attribute their installs. The presets on Integrations → Mobile apps are for app offers that partners promote with tracking links (Mobile app tracking).
Web-to-App#
Ads that open the app when it is installed and the website otherwise keep the normal template. On iOS the click
carries wbraid on the landing page, which TrackCrown reads from the url= value. Conversions inside the app reach
Google through your App Attribution Partner.
